MISSION:
The mission of Central Christian Children's Academy is to guide children to their highest God-given potential by nurturing the whole child - spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically in a Christian environment that is loving, wholesome, and stimulating.
PHILOSOPHY AND PURPOSE:
CCCA is designed for families with young children, six months through 6 years, and for school-age children grades kinder through 5th grade. Our mission is to provide a loving and enriched learning environment where Christian principles, academics, physical education, and emotional well-being are taught through developmentally appropriate activities. Central Christian Academy is operated by Central Christian Church as a part of its Outreach Ministry to the community and is governed by an Academy Board and the Church Board. The Academy Board is responsible for the general policies and operation of the center through a director who is in charge of the day-to-day administration of the center.
WE OFFER FOUR TYPES OF PROGRAMS:
Traditional - These classes utilize a center approach, which includes a library center, a manipulative center, a dramatic play center, an art center, and a science center. Children are grouped generally by age with the older classes having more centers and more structured group lessons. Teacher-directed activities and free play in the centers, as well as gym and/or playground activities balance the day's activities. We do offer a Pre-K program in our traditional method of teaching.
Montessori Pre-K-Kinder - Our Montessori Program offers Pre-K and Kindergarten classes set up in the Montessori tradition with a multi-age grouping of children ages 3-5 years. The Montessori curriculum includes exercises in practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, fine arts, and science. The children receive group as well as individual presentation using the Montessori materials. Each child progresses at his or her own pace. The child's natural curiosity is encouraged through a discovery approach to learning.
Mother's Day Out - This program consists of two different types of programs. We have a Monday/Wednesday/Friday and a Tuesday/Thursday program. All Mother's Day out classes start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. The program follows the same guidelines as our traditional program.
Latchkey - This program is designed for families with elementary school children. It operates during the summer. Parents may register their children for summer latchkey. Children are accepted on a space available basis.
